When I was a youth, I was given a large box of leftover comics that had not sold at a garage sale. When I was a somewhat older youth, I graduated from Donald Duck to Batman. Then I outgrew Batman for Maus and Sandman. Maus and Sandman gave way to manga in translation. Finally I have outgrown all of these other comics for Batman again.
I’m interested in comics as a storytelling medium. I am interested in existential angst. I am interested in myth. I am interested in the things about comics that cannot be done in other mediums. These are the things I keep my eye out for in a comic. Also Batman.
And in closing, I am still waiting for that Tara Chase/Jason Bourne team-up where the two of them once and for all overthrow all government corruption in the world.
