I love The Wizard of OZ! I think I read a comic version of it, but it was a while ago. I really liked it, but I think it was a different version than the one you are talking about. Otherwise, great article!

Is this series of figures based on a comic line at all? I'm interested to see an anime/manga-style take on the DC universe (similar to the marvel anime series or Stan Lee Just Imagine... series.)

Thx!

I am hoping that it will be Two-face, Catwoman, and a new Batman along with the new harley shown for the first wave, Then for the second wave, Hugo strange, Recovering Joker, Commissioner Gordon, and maybe a black and white Batman like in the game trailer.

it's Diamond Comics Exclusive so it will be solicited in the diamond previews order form. I'm guessing it will be this month whne it comes up. BBTS will probably put it up right when the order form is released and you'll be able to get it from any comic shop

Does anyone have a release date on the Emma Diamond Variant? I've been searching everywhere online to find more info and so far this is the only place that has anything about it. I checked Big Bad Toy Store as they're my go-to website for all my comic needs, but nothing there yet.

Agreed. It is too shiny.

But I mind the blue pants/boots combo much less than the black pants, no boots outfit.

really it's like the Jim Lee thing.....where one element kills it. The half jacket there and here it's the blue pants with blue boots combo. just no.

I much prefer Jim Lee's redesign (minus the jacket) actually.

The pants on this costume need to be darker, and the boots need to be red, (it's really weird having them sort of blend in together despite being two separate articles of clothing)

The costume fabric needs to be heavier weight... it looks exactly like the cheap plastic material you get with store-bought Halloween outfits right now.

I'm not wild about the waist/pelvis area either... just doesn't quite work. I might extend the bustier (which needs more boning anyway) down a bit to make the waist seem less empty.

Otherwise... it's ok. :)

Yeah they came out with the Jean Design and then went silent on it. Then figures were announced that weren't it and a lot of folks thought they might have scrapped it. They didn't....and I'm glad. Emma is Diamond Comics exclusive. So you'll have to order it from a retailer that deals with Diamond. Comic Shops, I think Big Bad Toy Store and other places you should be able to get it pretty easily. I can't wait as it really kind of makes sense. Plus it's fun to call it the diamond exclusive diamond variant. Love it though I does

Looking good, although I think most of these have been seen before, (with the exception of jean grey, for whom we'd only seen concept art, and the diamond form emma frost -- is this the con exclusive this year?). Still, they look great. Cannot wait for Wonder Woman, Ms. Marvel, and Catwoman, in particular!
